We have tried to do much of our own pond work over the years, however, last year we did not get our pond up and running as there were some issues. This summer, I was referred to Blue Spruce Ponds for a total pond clean-out, installation of a new pump, and start-up. Josh Smith and company were straight forward about costs, amount of work and arrival time. During the service, Josh noticed that my UV bulb was out and that the sleeve was broken. The workers also discovered a cracked manifold (caused by my own improper winterization) and found problems from a previous contractor. Josh suggested a rebuild of the pond including replacing 1 inch tubing with 2 inch to improve water flow and decrease the work load on the pumps and an improvement to the electrical for efficiency and safety. Josh also coordinated with a trustworthy and reasonably priced electrician. Blue Spruce kept all costs reasonable and never asked for more money than was quoted. I also wanted to upgrade the look of my water feature, so Josh installed submersible lighting (which I can run from an app on my phone). Our pond is a work of art and the centerpiece to our yard. I cannot say enough great things about my experience with Blue Spruce Ponds. Josh and his team are great. Living in Erie, I am outside Blue Spruce Ponds' normal service area. But Josh helped me rebuild the old, leaking pond I acquired with our new home anyway. The results were excellent. They removed the old liner, dug out and reshaped the dirt, removed the cracking sandstone waterfall, built an improved granite waterfall, rebuilt the skimmer box, hooked up an auto top-off, and installed a new pump.
